Michael Ann was born in Santa Cruz, California and grew up in the San Lorenzo Valley. While in college in Ohio, she started working with children as she supported elementary students one-on-one in the area of reading. Her education and background include a BA from Kenyon College in Spanish Area Studies and English Literature, an MA from Middlebury Institute of International Studies in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages, and an AMI Elementary Diploma from Montessori Institute of San Diego. She has also taken many courses and trainings in order to support students with learning differences and has worked since 1999 to support students with learning differences ranging from 5 years old through college. Michael Ann enjoys the love and excitement children bring to their learning. One of the most rewarding aspects of her work is being able to develop meaningful relationships with the children and seeing them grow in both their confidence and skills.
