Lizzy got her Association Montessori Internationale (AMI) Primary Diploma in 1994 from the Montessori Institute Northwest, and was head guide for 10 years before joining Santa Cruz Montessori School. 

After being a trained assistant at SCMS for 10 years, she became the head guide of Redwood for two years, and is now co-teaching the Redwood class with Taylor Holter before retiring at the end of this year.  She also has two master’s degrees (Education and Child Life), her Infant/Toddler Montessori training, and took half of the Montessori Elementary training.  She is married and has one child, who went through Montessori from 18 months through 8th grade, 9 years of which were at SCMS. Her hobbies include swing dancing, singing, acting in musicals, and eating her husband’s delicious gourmet meals.
