Amanda grew up in Dallas, Texas, where she began her journey as a Montessori guide in 2008 after completing her BS in Human Development and Family Studies at Texas Tech University. Amanda received her AMI Assistants to Infancy Diploma from the Montessori Institute of North Texas (MINT) and continues to work in partnership with MINT to help guide the next generation of Montessorians. She has been a lead guide in a toddler classroom for over 14 years and remains committed to growing and developing herself within this role. 

Amanda loves Montessori for the opportunity it provides her to honor and nurture the child's natural desire for a ‘love of learning’ and supporting their individual and unique path of development. Amanda and her husband moved to Santa Cruz in 2012 and have two beautiful children with whom they spend their free time exploring the wonders of the Monterey Bay area and beyond. In her free time, she can be found at the beach, in the woods, or biking around town with her family.
