Live Earth Farm

The Santa Cruz Montessori Junior High students work at Live Earth Organic Farm every week in three areas of interest: Field Studies, Health & Wellness, and Farm Economy. The students took 100% of these photos.

Washington DC

Santa Cruz Montessori's Jr. High student travel to Washington D.C. and visit Mt. Vernon, Colonial Williamsburg, the Jamestown Settlement, Monticello, Arlington Cemetery, the Air Force Memorial, the Korean War Memorial, The Lincoln Memorial, the World War II Memorial, the Vietnam Memorial, the National Gallery of Art, the Smithsonian Institution, the Supreme Court, the White House, and the U.S. Capital.

Yosemite National Park

Santa Cruz Montessori's upper elementary class (grades 4-6) took a trip to Yosemite in 2007. This is an eight minute slideshow documenting their adventures to the giant sequoia groves, Yosemite Valley, Nevada and Vernal Falls, and Yosemite Falls.

The Spirit of Dickens

Stage play by upper elementary class (Cypress), grades 4-6, in 2005. From the director: "Students master steps, levels, musical cues, the overall pattern (where you and others are in space) while feeling the joy of creativity and collaboration. We talk a lot about the aspect of community, we all have to be successful together."
